Canteen

This year's canteen services are being provided by Devonfield Enterprises. This move to a community based provision of canteen services is in line with the College's mission and values of Community. Canteen services are provided at recess and lunch.

Uniform Policy

Uniform

No person should be made to feel inferior or superior to another, regardless of background. Furthermore, the uniform gives a sense of belonging to a group that is held in high regard. It is a constant reminder of our individual responsibility to respect the rights of others and not become self-focused.

College Uniform and Dress Code

  • The dress of students at school needs to be appropriate for a school environment.
  • The College reserves the right to make judgments in relation to this. If parents are unsure of the appropriateness or otherwise of a change to hairstyle, clothing or the like, they should contact the College before making a financial commitment.
  • The College uniform should be worn well on all occasions, but especially when travelling to and from school and at College functions.
  • The summer uniform is only to be worn in Terms 1 and 4. The winter uniform must be worn in Terms 2 and 3 and is optional for Terms 1 and 4.
  • Blazers should be worn at all College assemblies and formal events (to and from school unless told otherwise).
  • Long hair should be tied back for Science experiments, in cooking subjects, in the MDT area and at other times when requested for safety or hygiene.
  • Boys should be clean-shaven.
  • No tattoos should be visible.
  • Jewellery should be kept to a minimum and be inconspicuous.
  • Students should not have facial piercings. Nose piercings should not be noticeable.

Out of Uniform

  • Being out of uniform should be a rare occurrence and parents are asked to support us in this regard. If being out of uniform is unavoidable, an explanatory note must be provided.
  • Wearing the PE uniform to or from school is regarded as being out of uniform.
  • Students who present to school out of uniform may be given the appropriate clothing to wear for the day and have incorrect clothing (e.g. a non-school jumper) confiscated.
  • A combination of the academic uniform and the Physical Education uniform is unacceptable.
  • In cold weather students should wear thermal wear that is not visible under their shirts.
  • All clothing should be labelled clearly to prevent lost property.
