Principal's News

Principal's Blog

The new College website has been released and I’m finding it much easier to use.  I hope that you, too find it user-friendly.

The School Leadership Team have reviewed the feedback from the School Results Survey (SRS) that was conducted last Term, the results of which were also published last Term.  We have identified four areas to focus on in the next 12 months. In brief, they are

Communication with parents (and across departments)

Behavioural Management processes

Collaborative decision making

The prayer life of the College

The Pastoral Care review has also provided valuable input.  In addition, we will continue to work on the delivery of quality learning experiences.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who completed the survey, and especially the constructive feedback that we received.  I’m looking to see how we have responded when the survey is run, again, next year.

I want to draw your attention to one link on our College website.  By selecting the ‘Contact’ link under the ‘About’ tab, you can scroll down to ‘Concerns, Compliments & Complaints (CCC)’.  This will link you to a form that you can use to bring things, (positive or negative) to my attention. Please note, you can use this form to express a concern or complaint against me as Principal.  In this case, it is referred directly to the Catholic Education Office.

Ms Elle Woodcock has chosen to step down from her position of part-time House Coordinator of Lyons.  Elle has done excellent work in this area and I want to acknowledge this. I am pleased to share that Ms Kiralee Mildren has been appointed as her replacement.

You may have noted that I have begun to sign-off by promising to keep you in my prayers.  To ensure I do as I say, I have a candle (electronic - gotta love WH&S) that I ‘burn’ in front of my computer.  It is a constant (‘yeah - lots of emails, so constant is true) reminder for me to offer up a simple prayer.

God bless you, and I’ll keep you in my prayers.
